Artist Comments:
Many years ago, I took piano lessons in “The Barn” on 7th avenue at the original Mount Royal campus. The wooden stairs creaked in the old building but the beautiful sounds of instruments filled the hallways. Today, the music of students practicing can still be heard on the third floor of Lincoln Park, throughout the Conservatory.

Artist Statement
Mount Royal has exceptional music teachers. Through the decades, students have taken classes and now enjoy a life-long love of music. Music is heard throughout the campus, in the Leacock foyer or at a concert featuring the international students in the Music Bridge program.
In 2011, the Bella Concert Hall will provide a stage where the music legacy continues.

Artist Bio
I have worked at the MRU library 22 years and since 2004, have curated the Library Art Gallery with Judy Trafford, where our community displays their artwork. During my BSc., I became a botanical artist and am now a member of the Canadian Institute of Portrait Artists.
