Artist Comments: The pioneer women were the back bone of the west. They carried the weight of the family, they bore the children, cooked the meals, did preserves, kept the clothes and house clean, grew gardens for food, helped in the fields when needed.
The Grain elevators in Balzac were demolished.
Leduc #1 oil rig, was owned by Imperial oil.
