Burrowing Owl “ Perches of the Past”

Artist website:
Panel before
Artist Comments: This comical little burrowing owl has long legs, a short tail, and feathers of brown with white spots, is usually found on or close to the ground. They claim abandoned gopher burrows for their nest after some additional digging to enlarge and reshape. When approached to closely they will bob up and down and dive into its burrow rather than take flight. This owl is becoming endangered because of historical gopher poisoning, habitat loss and more traffic.
