ROYAL VISIT SCRAPBOOK IMAGES

On May 24, 2005 during the Alberta / Saskatchewan Centennial Royal Visit, a portion of the Buffalo Twins mural was the centre piece that helped unveil the newly renamed: "The Royal Alberta Museum."

Her majesty is greeted by Premiere Ralph Klein and other dignitaries.
Queen Elizabeth II arrives...
The red carpet leads directly into the mural which is blocking the entrance.
The mural is presented with seven missing panels to add some mystery and to illustrate “the pieces coming together”
Before the official re-naming and mural presention, Premier Ralph Klein makes a short speech, Phil Alain stands between the Queen and the Premier and awaits his cue.
..as Premier Ralph Klein speaks about the symbolism of how the pieces come together to complete the overall picture, Phil and Paul move into position with the assistance of 5 children...

The Queen and the Premier look on as the mural is completed...
suddenly, to everyones surprise, the mural parts in the middle exposing the entrance into the museum...
The Queen walks through and is given the grand tour...
